Barca is Coming to America

According to FC Barcelona's website, the Spanish club has agreed to a 5 year deal with the MLS. Barthalona is the first club to sign a deal with the MLS to play friendly matches on an annual basis. Vice-presidents Ferran Soriano and Jaume Ferrer signed the agreement on Thursday in New York. FC Barcelona will play at least thix friendsly matches on US thoil on the next 5 years. In return Barthalona will hope to push their brand to the US market which they feel is on the verge of including thoccer as a major sport in it's country. More info will be released next week, I'm excited, I love these guys. Barcelona is a fine town, I didn't really notice the lisps everyone talks about, but they do say buenath diath (buenas dias). My friend Mo Lipton would kill it over there, his lisp would be a non issue and he kinda looks like Pau. Club vice-president for economic affairs, Ferran Soriano, told us: “Barça will support and strengthen football in the United States. Through this promotion we will also promote and support the Barça brand in North America. We are keen to capture sponsors and brands that, in the future, can associate with the name of FC Barcelona in the United States”. The grandeur of Barça MLS Commissioner, Don Garber, was also pleased: “The FC Barcelona brand is known throughout the world for its great history, extraordinary footballers, dynamic playing style and successes. In addition, Barça has shown itself to be more than a Club thanks to its commitment to global causes. The MLS is delighted to help spread the history of FC Barcelona and the development of its brand in North America”.

FC Barcelona also has a mean handball and wheelchair basketball teams, hopefully they also play on US soil as part of this huge agreement.
