Thursday, Brandon Webb, became the first player since 1985 (Andy Hawkins, SD) to win his first 9 starts. This feat has him on pace to win almost 40 games. He had 8 K's tonight against the reigning National League champions, the Colorado Rockies. Webb, along with Jake
Peavy(SD), Brad Penny (LA) and Tim
Lincecum (SF) make the
NL West the most competitive pitching division in baseball. Despite this, Webb, has dominated the
competition. He looks like a man
possessed and he just turned 29. It's safe to say that this guy will be
fire-balling his way to victories for years to come.
